VIII.    DUTIES OF OFFICERS

President:  The President shall preside at all meetings of the club, shall appoint necessary committees, and shall be an exofficio member of all committees except the Nominating Committee.  The President or Vice President shall co-sign all checks with the Treasurer in an amount of $300, or more.

Vice President:  In the absence or incapacity of the President, the Vice President shall perform the duties and exercise the power of the President.

Secretary:  The Secretary shall be the custodian of all records of the club, shall keep minutes of all Board and general membership meetings, shall attend to all Club correspondence and be responsible for mailing of information to members.  The Secretary shall maintain an up-to-date membership roster.

Treasurer:  The Treasurer shall be responsible for receiving membership dues and all other fees receivable from members, for paying expenses authorized by the Board, and for keeping accurate financial records.  The Treasurer’s records shall be subject to annual audit.  Bills and reimbursements shall be forthwith submitted to the Treasurer for approval by the Board and for payment.  Treasurer, alone may sign checks in amounts less than $300.

Event Chairman:  This Chairman shall be responsible for the organization of Club events, social events, schedules and guest speakers.  Event Chairman shall also serve as liaison with Canyon Lake POA, the Friday Flyer and other media.

Past President:  The immediate past President shall serve as a voting advisor to the Board.
